    Sodiadanceweek

We expect Sofia Dance Week for a second time! The festival aims at bringing aesthetic pleasure and new cultural models to its participants and this will not be possible without the presence of the best European dance companies and choreographers.

Last year’s first edition was a definite and determined expression of the fact that Bulgarians need to rethink the way art is made, distributed and perceived in our country.

Sofia Dance Week begins on the 24th of September and ends at the 1st of October, so we all should start setting our minds to a dance mode. You can do this successfully by nodding your head and  tapping with your finger tips while on your way to buy tickets for the various dance events.

    September 3rd, 2009radaShopping

About me: I love to shop, even at times I get nervous pangs on my way to a particular shop, knowing that there is a discount and praying that items are laying in ambush, waiting for their victim to arrive. Friends say that I am a window shopper as well, always looking on one side the moment we pass by a shop. Last time I was described as a hyena, speeding my words and slowing my pace until we stop while I am firing words about the shoes I see. When we go for a stroll, we tend to combine it with shops, for fear that I might miss something. This happens even at night, trying to peep behind the bars.

Now we are offered night shopping at one particular place which is described as an emotional space and a conceptual platform for the presentation of contemporary fashion design. Sounds sophisticated, indeed which makes me fond of the idea, meaning that this activity would be followed by drinks and a club.

I am so curious to check out what it’s all about, to see whether I can support the young designers and get the satisfaction I want! This would happen on Friday, between 20:00 and 2:00 o’clock. The place is Ivan Asen 22.

    Nikolaj Najdenov Trenirovki v Sofia

The city of Montana is not only famous for its numerous fountains in the center or the nearby fortress, named Montanensium but it possesses also the biggest halfpipe in the Balkans (not pictured). This fact gives it the status of a magnetic place for cool and extreme subcultures!

This weekend – Friday 4th to Sunday 6th – you will witness some of the best riders of inline halfpipe skaters from across the world  in Montana, including Bulgaria’s own world champions – Nikolai Naidenov, Kiril Trayanov and Pavel Mitrenga!

The Bulgarian competition to be held in Montana will be the focus of the inline world attention. This is the second stop in the European Championship series and the best Amateur riders will go on to compete in the European Championship Halfpipe Finals in Rotterdam, Holland.

And when the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the main supporter of the event which is otherwise organized by A.I.S.A. DISASTER, there is no chance to see mediocre performances. Furthermore, our friends from Vertigo would also take an active participation.
