The City Garden is Sofia’s oldest park, located in the heart of the capital in front of the beautiful building of Ivan Vazov National Theatre. The park is surrounded by historical buildings and monuments of culture, namely the Bulgarian National Bank, the Ministry of Defence, the Grand Hotel Sofia and the Sofia City Art Gallery. Art is even reflected in the children’s playground in the garden with swings and climbing frames that are musical instruments to play it. Here is also probably the most photographed Sofia fountain with the sculpture of the dancing, bathing woman.
