Описание

This Neo-Byzantine building in the central part of Sofia was the very first covered market hall, where one could buy meat, fish, vegetables, milk products and birds. There aren’t many shipping centres, where you can see archeological finds, but this is possible here – in the basement of the building, where you can see archeological finds from Ancient Serdika. The Central Market Hall was completed in 1911 and was officially granted the status of a cultural heritage site of national significance in 1955. Nowadays, apart from various foods and delicacies, you can also find clothing and accessories from Bulgarian brands. And when you need a break from shopping you can pause in one of the cafes or fast food restaurants.

#sоSofia съвет: Explore the stands with Bulgarian goods and taste delicacies from local producers.
