The main building of Sofia University was built at the end of the 19th century with the help of a donation by the merchant and philanthropist brothers Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi, whose sculptures at either side of the entrance greet visitors. The various buildings of Sofia University had been constructed over almost half a century, with contributions of famous bulgarian sculptors and artists. It is worth seeing this majestic piece of architecture, which is a national cultural monument.
