Gallery +359 is housed in an authentic, well-preserved water tower dating from the early 20th century in one of Sofia’s oldest and most charming neighbourhoods — Lozenets. Today, this historic landmark has been successfully integrated into the city’s contemporary life as a space for contemporary art, and Gallery +359’s exhibition programme includes its own curatorial practice and collaborations with professionals in the field of contemporary art from across the country and around the world. The team organises talks with contemporary visual artists, lectures and special events in the field of contemporary art and culture, and publishes books and catalogues, believing that a commercial gallery should play a part in the education and development of the public.
