The building of Sofia University was constructed at the end of the 19th century thanks to a donation from the Karlovo merchants and benefactors, brothers Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi, whose sculptures greet us on either side of the entrance. Over the course of almost half a century, the various university buildings have expanded and brought together the work of renowned Bulgarian sculptors and artists. This magnificent architectural, historical and artistic monument to culture is well worth a visit. Here, lovers of architectural art can enjoy a combination of classical, Baroque and Renaissance styles.
