In Lozenets, amidst the scent of pine resin and tales of the city, lies the small, poetic ‘Vishneva’ tram stop. In the 1930s, a group of locals approached the local council with a request – that tram No. 1 should not stop only at Orlov Most, but should go all the way to the Seminary. The reason was simple: winter made the neighbourhood difficult to reach, and Sofia does not forgive those who are cut off.

Due to the steep slope of Yordan Milanov Street, the route winds its way through the pine forest. People are up in arms – trees will fall, the peace and quiet will be gone. But necessity prevails. Two stops appear: ‘Vishneva’ and ‘Borova Gora’. The latter no longer exists – only the older generation remembers it. “Vishneva”, however, remains to this day – with its distinctive building and the magical feeling that you are waiting not just for a tram, but for a journey into the history of the capital.

In the summer of 2024, the bus stop came to life with the launch of the illustrated book *My Sofia and Other Images* by the artist Vara Boyadzhieva. The atmosphere at the time gave rise to a romantic idea – that the ‘Vishneva’ bus stop should be transformed into a small cultural hub. For now, it remains just an idea.
